hardwareusbIf you are carrying data around that you don’t want other people to see, on a portable hard drive or a USB flash drive, you should be doing so on secure media.

It is so easy to lose a USB stick, and it is possible that large quantities of confidential data (spreadsheets, documents, photographs, business plans or product designs) could be held on that device.

To prevent a data breach at your company and the potential loss of trust, fines, or legal recourse; it is essential that the USB sticks you use have some form of hardware encryption built in.

These sticks often look and feel similar to a normal USB drive and the encryption is managed using a password mechanism. Some have added security features such as a key pad or fingerprint reader on the drive itself.
